Kate & Tom's Wedding

I had the pleasure of photographing Kate & Tom’s charming wedding at the Riverview in Simsbury, Connecticut.  Before I get started, there is something I’d like to add before I go into their special day…

After taking Kate & Tom’s engagement photograph’s last year, I received a call from Kate asking me to photograph her wedding.  I had been asked before to photograph weddings but quickly said no as I did not think it was for me.  I did the same to Kate but she would not take no for an answer, nor did I want to let her down.  It was reassuring that she was a “repeating and happy customer” asking for more.  I quickly realized the thought I had so often rejected was becoming a reality and more importantly, I was excited for the challenge!  I thank Kate and Tom for believing in me.  It is so encouraging and I’m thrilled to photograph more weddings in the future.  They were pleasantly surprised to learn their wedding didn’t even end up being my first! J

With that said, they are a thoughtful, kind and genuine couple.  I could not believe how relaxed Kate was when I first arrived to her house.  It was so refreshing how nothing would ruin the day she married her very best friend.  It has been an absolute pleasure getting to know Kate & Tom and I hope their special relationship comes alive in these photographs.
